Girly Bits - Heirloom

Hello!
Today is back to school day here in the UK for most students and school children. That means the house is very quiet!

I have used a Christmas polish today, Heirloom by Girly Bits. This is part of Pam's Christmas 2012 collection and is the only one of the set I have. It isn't particularly Christmas themed in the sense of the traditional and popular colours of the season. All of the polishes in the collection are lovely but something grabbed me with Heirloom. Maybe it was the mix of muted colours, unusual and subtle, but eye catching too.

I decided to apply the glitter over my plain black Red Carpet Manicure gel. This is a super glossy black. Nothing more, nothing less.

I dabbed Heirloom at the nail tips with the aim of trying out a gradient effect. The glitters are fairly small, shiny and a mix of copper, silver and plum. The base is fluid and to be honest, this made dabbing a little awkward as the glitter tended to float away from where it was placed. It dried quickly and lies flat on my nails and feels quite smooth. A quick coat of Seche Vite added more smoothness and a lovely gloss

Close ups of my ring finger. One is blurred as it shows the beautiful plum shades.
